Slideshow: Monday Night Football

The photos in the slideshow above made up my final project of my photojournalism class at Towson University.  Our assignment was to tell a story using photos.  I started out having trouble thinking of an idea but eventually settled on following my uncle to a Baltimore Ravens game.
This wasn’t just any game.  This was a [...]

Broadcast journalism is something I never gave much thought to.  A few classmates of mine pursued professions in television and radio but I never thought I had the face or voice for it.
However, I did want to take every journalism course at Towson University so I enrolled in Broadcast Journalism I and was shocked at [...]

Panorama: Apartment Complex

Awhile back I received an email with a link to a panorama on the New York Times Web site. At the time I had never seen an interactive panorama and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

The video above was my first venture into the world of iMovie and Flash. The slideshow was apart of a larger multimedia project I did about Harford County music.

I was the first student in my class to tackle the assignment of an audio slideshow and I was also the first to use iMovie as an editing tool. I was also the first to use Flash to embed the video on my class Web site.

Video: Star-Spangled Salute

Defender’s Day commemorates the Battle of Baltimore and the writing of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”  It’s also Baltimore’s oldest holiday.
I covered the three day celebration for Smithsonian.com by shooting video to accompany an article about the history of the Star-Spangled Banner.
This was my first time at Fort McHenry for Defender’s Day and I had a blast.  I [...]
